Description
Full-Hand Mehndi
A full hand mehndi design covers the fingers from the fingertips to the wrists or even up to the elbows on both the front and back sides of the hands. These designs are filled with details and typically include a combination of old and new designs.
Design Placement:
-
Front Hand (Palm Side): Heavily detailed with motifs, name initials, portraits, or a central mandala.
-
Back Hand: More elegant and structured with floral vines, jaali patterns, or bracelet-style borders.
-
Fingers: Often filled with delicate net, leaf patterns, or ring-style designs.
Color and Staining:
The mehndi paste, once applied, is left to dry and later scraped off, leaving a reddish-brown stain.
Darker stains are considered more beautiful and auspicious, especially for brides.
